Almost Sure Convergence: The Strongest Form

Almost sure convergence means that the random variable sequence $X_n$ converges to $X$ on "almost all" sample paths in the probability space. Intuitively, with probability 1, when $n$ is sufficiently large, $X_n$ will get arbitrarily close to $X$ and eventually stay close forever.

For coin flipping, this is the Strong Law of Large Numbers: the sample proportion of heads almost surely converges to the true probability 0.5. This is the strongest form of convergence and implies all other types.
